VS-8FW Firewire Repeater / HUB 

The Kramer VS-8FW is an eight port Firewire repeater / hub for any application where additional Firewire (IEEE 1394) ports are needed. Several hubs may be cascaded to create up to a 63 port Firewire system. It supports 100, 200, and 400 Mbps transfer rates, enabling high rate digital video transfer, and it allows for "hot plugging".  On  all its ports, the hub includes unique electronic surge protectors against static and other pulse induced damages. The machine effectively extends the standard 4.5 meter (15 feet) operation range of Firewire, even doubling the range when using appropriate cabling. It is housed in a Kramer Tools enclosure, and is fed from a 12VDC power supply.
